This has been a really challenging week and the heat wave did not help, PHEW!! But I pushed myself to the limit and continued. I keep reminding myself why I need to do this:  That this is the best way for me to get into shape and get advice from the experts as to what the best method is for me to lose weight. 

 We had really good fat-burning training this week. I kept thinking, “What is Bevan trying to do? Kill me? ARRGGGGHHH!!!” Every muscle in my body was having a workout, even the ones I thought had retired… It’s amazing how only 30 minutes of targeted training can make you feel as if your body is putty. We worked on our abs, glutes, quads, biceps and triceps. Imagine what one hour will do?

 I’ve always used the excuse that I don’t have time to exercise. Well, Bevan has given us each an at-home workout plan we can do with the Theraband we received last week.  So no more excuses – each night I tackle a few. I really enjoy the variety of exercise we get; I’m not one who appreciates routine at all.

 I enjoyed every minute of the training sessions this week even if I moaned through most of the 60 minutes. Bevan kept on me encouraging me to go on and finish each exercise, and I’m proud to say I did… All the running up and down the stairs and the squats we did with a 5kg medicine ball, the plank (ok, so mine was a slanted plank!), the sit-ups, everything – I did it! 

 I felt ‘spiritually’ awesome: I know that all the pain I’ve experienced is for my benefit and that one hour of all that training was getting me closer to my ultimate goal which is to reach my goal weight and adopt better and healthier eating habits. This is only the beginning of my journey to a healthy lifestyle.
