September 1st sees the beginning of an exciting journey for writer and Type 1 diabetic, Bridget McNulty, and photographer Mark Peddle. As Bridget explained in her article, ‘My Leap of Faith’ (in the September issue of Shape), their mission is to be positive diabetes ambassadors, and to show that even though you’re diabetic, doesn’t mean you can’t follow your dreams.
The pair will be away for 9 months, and will travel extensively – mainly in South-East Asia and South America. Bridget will be blogging about the highs and lows of travelling with diabetes, Mark will be posting a visual journey of images, and together they’ll be recording weekly video diaries to keep followers up to date (in a very personal way) with how the trip is going.
