Lovely lashes

A set of lush, long lashes is the new Wonderbra, says American Vogue. We agree- lash-lust is at an all-time high!

Caring and conditioning:

Always remove mascara at night and try to go without on weekends to give your lashes a breather. Apply a lash conditioner, consisiting of a very fine oily, nourishing formula at night. Castor oil also conditions lashes beautifully, but can sting if it gets in your eyes, and a heavy oil can cause puffy lids. Don’t use baby oil or a mineral oil and don’t wear waterproof mascara every day – it’s difficult to remove, which is tough on fragile eyelashes. Avoid low-quality mascara that smears or flakes.

Curling:

Use an eyelash curler before applying mascara for longer lashes. Don’t pinch too hard- lashes are fragile. For best effects, warm the curler with a blast of hot air from your hairdryer (just a little) or run it under hot water.

Enhancing:

We love eyelash extensions, they last up to six weeks. Or try tinting- DIY or at a salon- which lasts for four weeks. Lash perming is a new option for straight lashes. For a truly glam look, master the art of applying false eyelashes.
