Need a glamourous new look for a night out on the town? The smokey-eye is bang on trend and easy to do.
“A smokey-eye look has the ability to change the eye completely,” says make-up guru Michelle Collins. To start, prepare the eyelid with a primer, which seals over fine lines and evens out discoloured eyelids. There should be no oil on the lid. Use this step-by-step guide:

1. Use an eye pencil like MAC Teddy or Smoulder and get right into the lash line, top and bottom. Always start at the outer corner of the eye. |

2. Use a pencil brush (MAC 219) to blend and smudge the line. Apply the dark liner on the inside rim of the eyelid, top and bottom. Stop here if in a hurry. If not: |

3. Find the crease of the eyelid by looking down in a hand mirror. Use the pencil brush and the smoulder pencil to draw a circle on the eyelid. Use the brush in a round, buffing motion and blend. |
