
Mandela Day is an annual celebration of Mandela’s life and a global call for people to recognize their individual power to make an imprint on the world. On the 18th July people from around the world will devote 67 minutes of their time to a good cause.
WHY 67 MINUTESE
Nelson Mandela has devoted 67 years of his life to making the world a better place. It all started in 1942 when he campaigned for human rights in South Africa. Today he has become a living legacy. Organizations such as 46664 and the Nelson Mandela Foundation are campaigning to make his birthday a day to be commemorated. All around the world volunteer programmes have been set up and thousands of people have joined the cause.
