Most of us work hard at staying healthy and fit, but toxic chemicals are still sneaking into our systems in many different ways. All that needs to be done is to make some small changes to your lifestyle. Here are a few tips to get you started on the Green Queen path…
STEP 1
Draw up a list of non-organic products in your house. Remember: Cosmetic products can also be a major offender. A US Study suggests that personal care products have up to 884 toxic chemicals.
STEP 2
The list can be divided by rooms of the house or by people in the house- whichever way is easiest for you. Going organic is not an overnight decision it’s a lifestyle change so it will be a tedious at first. Prioritize which category is more important. For instance you might want to ensure your kids go organic before you do, so their products would be a good place to start. Remember: Your kids will not be thrilled at the idea that mom’s making them go green so make it a fun activity for the whole family.
STEP 3
Put aside the products that most concern you. It’s best to get a list of bad chemicals and check your products against this list. Throw away the products with these nasty chemicals and replace them with organic. If your budget looks tight this month, go organic slow and decide to simply replace the bad products with organic.
