What is the opposite of a balls-up?

The fourth week of training has been a bit tough for me. I came down with a cold over the weekend and couldn’t make it to our Monday night session. However I knew that I would have to get back there last night or I wouldn’t have anything to write about today. When we got to our meeting spot there they were, 16 Pilates Fitness balls all lined up and ready for us to start bouncing away. It’s funny how these Pilates balls brought out a child-like quality in all of us. Seeing who can bounce higher, whilst still keeping our balance, unaware that there was a serious workout coming our way that would let me know about ab muscles I never knew existed.

We started by just bouncing up and down, then moving from side to side. We then ran around the track whilst bouncing a ball with alternating hands before doing relay races in teams. Still using our Pilates balls, we moved on to sit-ups, boxing, push-ups, balancing acts and much more. I certainly never realised that you could do so much with a Pilates ball and I’m considering purchasing one to use at home for when this eight-week programme comes to an end.

Exhausted after our class

This was definitely the most fun class yet and looking at the faces of my fellow trainees around me, I think most of them agreed.
